As Financial Controller , you are responsible for the performance of the finance team with high degree of transition and adjustment whilst sustaining high quality standards supporting the relevant Finance Directors (FD) for their Business Unit and Markets by delivering right first-time reporting and analysis which is insightful, fast and supports the business to develop accurate plans in a strong controls and assurance environment.

Your will be responsible for managing a team of finance professional deployed for the scope in a complex multi-layer organisational structure, engaging with senior stakeholders (escalation point of contact for the business). Your scope will vary depending on the size & complexity of the markets to be supported & could also have responsibility solely for a Tier 1 market. The role helps to deliver the Finance vision of a "world class finance function recognised by industry, the profession and our people" which underpins the GSK vision.

This includes but is not limited to:

Accountable for the reporting of financial results for the Tier 1 entity with commentary including income, balance sheet and cash flow which is accurate, complete and:

Fully compliant with all relevant accounting standards, current best practices and any other regulations

Consistently applies accounting policies which are appropriate to the current business environment

Compliant with all aspects of the internal / external financial control environment

Delivers insight to the business in key areas of risk, growth and performance making recommendations for continuous improvements and remedial action as required

Manages a team of Financial Controllers, Assistant Financial Controllers and Financial Analysts, always in alignment with GSK Values & Expectations, drive individual & team performance, ensure recruitment of staff at the required calibre / skills & experience, develop / coach / mentor your team members and create strong succession plans for key roles while fostering engagement and motivation in the team.

Provide oversight & direction for all aspects of the financial month end review process, including Inventory & Profit release, OE and Headcount reporting requirements this will also require co-ordination of activities across markets in the Region, Genpact and any other third parties.

Consolidation, analysis and interpretation of results and ensures that there are no surprises

Owns the balance sheets of all markets

Contribute into business review meetings as appropriate

Oversight of statutory account process, external and internal financial audits for their Regional Segment they are responsible for

Drive improvement to the delivery of financial reporting & analysis including local, regional and BPO teams under its remit

Have extensive post qualification experience as Finance Controller, preferably within a similar operating model and the same sector

Are a Qualified accountant
