Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia is recruiting on behalf of Malaysia's leading property development organisations. Our respected client is an expert in property development in Johor Bahru with 30 years of experience in developing high end houses, hotels and shopping complexes within the state. Our respected client is seeking a dynamic professional with at least 15 years of experience in strategic corporate financial matters to take on the challenging role of Chief Financial Officer. This job is based in Shah Alam, Malaysia.

Job responsibilities:
  • Good management and smooth operations for all key divisions i.e. Finance, Corporate Planning & Business Development, Legal & Secretarial, Risk & Compliance, Internal Audit
  • Overseeing the entire financial scope (strategies, operation and administration) of the company and its Property Development, Construction and other business units/divisions
  • Assisting and advising the Group CEO on strategic management matters, and working closely alongside the Heads of Property, Construction and Other Divisions
  • Analysis of Group's financial performance and presentation of quarterly financial performance and 5-year Business Plan to the Board of Directors
  • Developing and managing strategies plus initiatives in international business expansion and M&A opportunities
  • Advising on improvements to the financial and operational performance of the various business units, as well as on business development projects
  • Institutionalising initiatives focused on operational excellence to deliver high quality performance, while maintaining the entrepreneurial culture and agility of the company
  • Implementing modern management concepts for continuous improvements leading to sustained cost reductions and margin improvements

  • Job requirements:
  • A Bachelor's Degree (or Masters) in Accounting/Finance or relevant disciplines
  • Professional qualifications/affiliations with accounting bodies e.g. ACCA, MIA, CIMA, ICAEW or CPA would be an added advantage
  • At least 15 years of experience in a senior managerial position
  • Well versed in exploring international business opportunities and possesses good understanding on international business operations management
  • Experienced in recognising, managing and closing M&A transactions
  • Strong business leadership, people management, results oriented, entrepreneurial drive and interpersonal skills
  • Strong business acumen and practical skills in strategic thinking, analysis, problem solving, strong initiative and fast-paced
