Finance Director

Finance Director required for an exciting early-stage company with huge growth potential. The business seeks to optimise the productivity of crop systems, build disease resistance, improve soil health, enhance natural capital and reduce agricultures' carbon footprint. Scalable co-operative business model adding innovative health, nutritional and bio economical value to crops and other products through the sale of scientifically approved premium D2C retail Wellness and Oil brand.

Salary:
c£50000 - £60000 pro-rata pa plus incentive.
Start Date: ASAP.

To be successful in this role you will need to draw on all your knowledge you have gained during your, professional career You'll have obtained excellent academic qualifications, almost certainly worked for a larger company but you will also have worked in smaller / start-up companies to have gained a proven track record and the broad range of experiences including e-Commerce, that mark you out as a star Finance Director.

You'll need to use your self-starting work ethic and you thrive in a busy work environment and enjoy rolling up your sleeves to take a project and to make things happen, paying close attention to the detail to ensure it is done correctly. You'll be collaborating with other senior members of the team, to deliver the environment for growth and success of the venture.

This business is a part of a wider group that you will steer in parallel with projects in wellness, health, biotech & life sciences so ideally, you'll have worked in one of those environments, or similar, in the past and understand how those sectors work along with the unique challenges to the finance element (R&D, Funding, Investor Relations etc.).

On joining you jump straight into co-developing & implementing the business strategy; after defining that you will make use of your positive personality and excellent communication skills, working closely with colleagues, investors and financial advisors. You will be responsible for driving the strategy and vision forward, helping to secure finance and early-stage investment, ultimately preparing the company for main market listing as well as day to day responsibility for the Finance area including Tax, Pay, Management Accounts etc.
