Our client is a leading , Private Equity Backed ,multi-site business which is growing at an exponential rate . As part of a continuing drive to improve financial, operational and commercial reporting metrics, data analytics and KPIs there is a newly created vacancy to recruit a Director of Financial Planning, Analysis and Analytics to join a talented senior leadership team. In this role you will be at the very core of business decision-making deploying both your exceptional planning and management skills as well as utilising your track record of building an outstanding FP&A function that supports growth, acquisitions, investor requests and long-term profitability. You must have proven transformation and change management skills with the ability to deliver substantial improvements, problem solve and lead and develop a team . You will be an experienced finance professional looking for a truly accountable ,senior role in a PE backed environment and with a real aspiration and ability to progress to CFO.



Responsibilities include:




  • Management of the Planning, analysis and analytics function.

  • Providing commercial and strategic decision support. This is across all business functions and supports the decision-making process and achievement of group strategy.

  • Budgeting, forecasting and planning. Develop and manage an integrated forecasting and business planning process.

  • Further develop Investment analysis and Cash Flow forecasts, understanding the working cash management position.

  • Play an integral part in the formulation of the strategic plan and associated business plans and metrics.

  • Evaluate, review and challenge business proposals/activities, month-end results and budgets, ensuring KPIs are being met, with the aim of identifying risks and opportunities, suggesting options for improvement, driving corrective action and a culture of continuous improvement in business performance.

  • Provide insights from qualitative and quantitative data analysis developing business models and cases to support strategic choices and optimal resource allocation.

  • Work collaboratively across the business applying rigor and challenge.

  • Take the lead in driving robust processes around cost control, cash flow, balance sheet management to maximise profit and cash generation opportunities.

  • Ad hoc projects as required, e.g. due diligence, acquisitions, systems projects, geographic market development.

  • Assist CFO with meeting needs of senior team and all external parties - PE house, NEDs, banks and auditors.





Key requirements for the role:




  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet continuous deadlines.

  • You will have a graduate level education and a professional accountancy qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)

  • Previous experience of leading an FP&A function and (preferably) prior exposure to Corporate Finance or Transaction Services.

  • You will possess excellent influencing skills with the ability to build and maintain relations with Director level colleagues.

  • You will have strong strategic thinking capability and relish translating strategy into practical deliverables coupled with exceptional commercial skills and business acumen.

  • Proven planning and project management skills coupled with a track record of delivery.

  • You will have exceptional organisation skills, be career orientated, robust interpersonally and possess intellect and intuition.

  • You will have the desire to effect change, a strong work ethic and be deadline driven.

  • Experience of working in fast moving environments.
