Michael Page are supporting an SME accountancy practice on hiring an experience qualified practice trained accountant to join their team on a part time basis. Due to the growth of the accountancy practice, the director is seeking an experienced candidate that is looking for a flexible & caring organisation.

Client Details

Our client is an established accountancy practice with an excellent reputation within the local area of Slough. Due to an increase in workload and the emergence of remote working, our client have created a new opportunity for an experience accounts prep candidate to join the team on a part time basis. The team is a strong unit with a flat hierarchical structure so everyone has an input on key business decisions and strategy. The company pride themselves on their flexible approach to working and the excellent company culture.

Description

The key responsibilities for this role is to work with external clients, mainly SME's with limited finance teams to support them on the preparation of their statutory accounts. This role will require the candidate to have a good understanding of statutory accounts and working in a small-medium sized accountancy practice. You will also liaise with HMRC, work on corporate & personal tax projects and complete ad-hoc requests from clients.

Profile

The successful candidate for the Practice Accountant - Part time would be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA) who has experience of working in a small-medium sized practice. The client is very flexible and would consider a candidate that has been in I&C, however, knowledge of up to date statutory accountancy legislation would be required.

This role could be up to 3 days per week initially but can range from 16 hours to 30 hours depending on circumstances.
