Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Accountancy team in Redhill on an interim basis

Our client a well known & growing organisation in Redhill are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Accountancy team.

Description

Accounts Payable Clerk - Redhill

  • Oversee the purchase ledger function, ensuring that all supplier invoices are properly recorded, authorised and settled within the suppliers' payment terms.
  • Prepare the BACs supplier payment listing and agree payments to be made with the Exchequer Manager/Supervisor
  • Ensure that supplier accounts are reconciled on a regular basis.
  • Correspond with suppliers to ensure correct invoicing information. Deal with all queries concerning supplier accounts, liaising with budget holders where necessary.
  • Responsible for receiving, interpreting and responding professionally to queries received from finance and non-finance staff, both internally and externally, utilising knowledge of accounting requirements, policies and procedures.
  • Prepare cheque/immediate payments and ensure all supporting documentation is prepared for processing, authorised, entered on the accounts system and filed appropriately.
  • Assist with the development of other financial processes as required by the Exchequer Manager/Supervisor.
  • Ensure that supplier amendments are verified in a timely manner.
  • Cover for other Finance Team members when necessary as part of the Finance Department's Business Continuity plans.
  • Ensure that supplier amendments are verified in a timely manner and that new suppliers are set up on Navision.
  • Ensure that financial process documentation is maintained and updated for any changes and developments.
  • Providing training and guidance to budget holders and non-finance staff on purchase ordering and Navision
