Our client, a successful FinTech start-up based in Romania, is seeking a Financial Leader & Business Partner to work closely with and report to the CEO.
This role is ideally suited to someone seeking to step up to a CFO role in the next couple of years. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, growth focused, and have financial services and fundraising experience. Must be prepared to move to Romania, and must develop a deep knowledge of the Romanian financial and FinTech market.
In the longer term, for a competent and successful candidate, there will be opportunities to become a shareholder in the group, with high potential growth opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the financial accounts and reporting;
- Ensure the company has accurate financial metrics (e.g. revenue, expenses, cash flow/burn);
- Assist in raising capital required to help the business grow and thrive;
- Optimise the mix of capital between equity and debt where relevant;
- Manage the budgeting and planning processes;
- Build a model that projects performance into the future;
- Identify opportunities and strategies to improve business performance;
- Assess and mitigate against potential risks facing the company;
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant, ACA/ACCA or equivalent;
- Experience preferably in banking, financial consultancy and/or other financial services;
- Competent in fundraising;
- Working experience with international financial institutions, investment funds, international banks;
- Ability to work strategically;
- Enthusiastic and hands on;
