About the Role
Our Credit department is responsible for minimising losses to Global Payments as a result of merchant/cardholder fraud by the following of robust policies and procedures, ensuring business growth is not stifled. This is an exciting position for someone with a couple of years of experience in a previous credit support function, looking to progress and grow within the company.



Responsibilities:

  • Minimise financial exposure to GP through timely and robust decision making (new and existing facilities) within personal approval authorities
  • Review existing facilities as part of ongoing portfolio management
  • Timely identification/escalation/action to address deteriorating trends within the merchants financial accounts or conduct of the merchant facilities to mitigate losses
  • Securing and exiting existing high risk/deteriorating facilities in order to minimise Credit and Fraud losses
  • Provide guidance to Sales teams to aid understanding of Card Acquiring exposures
  • Maintain working knowledge of MasterCard and Visa regulations - specifically chargeback implications.
  • Treat Customers Fairly (TCF) and effectively handle all Merchant calls

About You

  • Minimum 2 years experience in a Credit Operations or similar position
  • Proven credit acumen and understanding of effective risk management
  • High level of accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Analytical, judgmental and decision making skills
  • Able to work well under pressure
  • Analysis of data from multiple sources to determine key risks and priorities
  • Understanding of the nature of chargeback risk preferred
  • High level of initiative, able to develop solutions to unique problems
  • Enthusiastic, innovative, self motivated and committed to continuous improvement
  • Quick at learning and highly productive ensuring work streams are completed quickly and effectively
