Paying £70-75K plus excellent benefits, this North West based Housing Association are looking for an Interim Deputy Director of Finance/Head of Finance for a 1-year Fixed Team Contract.

This is a strategic and operational role supporting the Executive management team, whilst managing and mentoring a substantial Finance Team, keeping momentum on operational changes and strategic growth.

The role will currently be 100% WFH but will be expected to become Part-Office/Part-WFH at a point in the future once the current situation is stable enough to allow.

THE JOB

A true leadership position - with exposure to the highest levels of board reporting. Operationally and functionally, you will be leading the full accounting services for the Group, responsible for the management of accounting and budget setting, management reporting, statutory returns, treasury, service charge, and tax compliance, and supporting the business in achieving its' strategic plan objectives.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities

* Plan and maintain an effective financial and treasury service

* Work with budget holders to set an effective Group budget

* Ensure the Group's financial systems are robust

* Lead the statutory reporting process for the Group

* Finance lead on new-build development projects and key asset investment

* Ensure a robust business planning process is maintained

* Deputise and provide support for the Executive Director of Finance and Resources

* Prepare and present Board reports and strategic project support

* Liaise with key external stakeholders

THE PERSON

* You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA)

* You will have strong leadership skills, developed during your career. You must be an experienced staff manager. You will be able to mentor the team and enable their continual development and evolution as a modern finance function

* You will be confident and competent in the delivery of the finance outputs, strategic input, and support and possess the financial and commercial acumen and gravitas to present to the highest level within the organisation, support and challenge the Senior Leadership Team

* Experience of statutory accounting and reporting in a complex group structure, management reporting, transactional volume management, VAT and tax, and relevant Information returns

* Advanced communication and technical skills, an advanced user of varied Accounts Packages, Business Planning Tools, and Microsoft Office products
