My client based in Billingham is seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk/Accounts Assistant on a full time temporary basis. This could be made permanent for the right candidate.

As Purchase Ledger/Accounts Assistant, you will cover all aspects of a Purchase Ledger function including the accurate processing of all types of invoices and payments requests including employee expense claims, whilst applying the company checks and controls.

This is a great opportunity to join a busy finance function and support the business with day-to-day purchase ledger processing.

To be considered for this role, you must have;

  • Purchase ledger experience
  • AAT qualified or have begun studying for AAT
  • Highly numeric to spot arithmetic differences and correlations
  • Proficient in excel to perform purchase ledger or nominal ledger reconciliations
  • Good telephone manner to build contact and resolve queries with suppliers
  • Familiarity with CIS deductions & retentions but not essential
