Job Details

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee the entire process of collecting payments from customers of the different businesses. Our client have team members who are chasing the debt, but no one to coordinate, define policy and track progress. We are looking for someone to come in, understand the system and processes, define best practice and develop KPI's to measure performance.

Our client a highly successful Market Leading Business are currently for an Accounts Receivable Manager to join the team based in Croydon, Surrey. This role is due to company growth and continued success.

Description

As the Accounts Receivable Manager based in Croydon, when in the office you will be responsible for:

Day to Day Management of Accounts Receivable Team

  • Manage Invoice to Cash process
  • Monitor processing of invoices
  • Ensure timely collection of payments
  • Negotiate with clients and business owners in non-payment cases
  • Accurate and timely cash allocation process
  • Appropriate escalation of overdues to business owners
  • Conduct credit checks

Controls and Process Management

  • Ensure high-quality invoicing and collection procedures that comply with the law
  • Organise records of invoices and deposits
  • Ensure strong operational controls in all areas of responsibility
  • Document all key processes with clear RASCI identified
  • Meet all relevant accounting standards
  • Stay updated on industry and legislative changes

Reporting

  • Prepare regular reports
  • Ensure strong and timely reporting over all business units
  • "Know your numbers" and be able to clearly and concisely deliver performance metrics.

Team Management

  • Coach and support the team ensuring
    • Clear role specifications
    • Individuals meeting targets
    • Individuals having individual development plans
    • Ensure all team members follow the accounting principles
  • Ensure the team are able and willing to support business colleagues

Project Work

  • Install of Credit Hound credit management software
  • Identify, scope and agree improvement projects within the team
  • Take responsibility for implementing the change
  • Ensure team are able to support (and lead as necessary)

Maintain Relationships with

  • Staff
  • Management
  • Directors
  • Auditors

Profile

  • Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or Supervisor
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software (Sun systems experience an advantage)
  • Familiarity with advanced formulas in MS Excel
  • Excellent analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports
  • Ability to accurately process numerical data
  • Team management and negotiation skills
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Confidentiality

Job Offer
