Finance Project Director, Cambridge, 12 month fixed term contract, £97.5K - £110K


Toner Graham are recruiting for a new role within the Group Financial Reporting team of a multinational company headquartered in Cambridge. This role is initially home-based but will require the successful candidate to be office based in future.

Tasked with providing expert support to the Senior Director of Group External Reporting, to enable delivery of the Group quarterly and year-end financial reporting requirements as well as supporting activities related to a significant acquisition opportunity in both the pre-acquisition and the post -acquisition phase.

The role will have interaction across the Group Financial reporting team, wider Finance community as well as external advisors, consultants and auditors. This is a great opportunity for a highly skilled finance professional to join a high performing team and support critical Group activities at a very exciting time for the company.

Responsibilities
Act as a key support to the Senior Director Group External Reporting in delivering the Group year-end and quarterly financial reporting requirements together with supporting project work involving a significant acquisition.
Prepare and review of quarterly press release, financial statements and related information
Complete regulatory filings to UK and US authorities in relation to M&A activities
Preparation and collation of CFO decks, audit committee papers and other internal documents
Support transactional and reporting workstreams related to significant acquisition work
Liaise with internal stakeholders across Finance as well as external advisory and audit stakeholders to deliver timely and accurate Group financial reporting

Essential for the role
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
Significant experience of financial statement preparation
IFRS technical expertise, with practical experience in M&A transactions
Highly proficient in executive reporting - Board and audit committee papers, CFO briefing notes and external communications
Problem Solving and Decision Making - able to identify, analyse and offer other solutions to complex problems.
Leadership and Development - excellent team working

Desirable for the role
Financial audit, transactions and capital markets experience in a Big 4 audit firm
Experience in regulatory filings on M&A activity (e.g. circulars, prospectus)
