The Role Responsibilities
Quality Assurance: to make sure the quality assurance of operational risk controls in all units across
all processes in the corresponding business area.
Competency and Effectiveness: to be fully competent in control measure skills and methodology inconducting sample testing, quality checking, and monitoring; to be effective in identifying controlprocess gaps, timely escalation of identified issues or risks, and effective actions to mitigate within theaccepted timeframe.
Ensure 1st Line risk ownership: to assist business heads or managers truly own all risks in theirbusiness areas.
Monitoring and escalation: To be responsible for monitoring all processes in the corresponding areaand escalate any issues and risks to the corresponding control function area and business heads.

Validation of Controls (KCSA/KCI %26amp; OPTIAL)
Validate sampling techniques, results and exceptions arising thereof.
Review trend analysis of exceptions and identify systemic failures.
Identify material exceptions and escalate.
Agree on actions arising from the treatment plan.
Review and approve the in-country KCSA developed before roll-out.
Incident Management (Phoenix)
Investigate, document and report operational losses, near misses, other risk events and treatment planson Phoenix in partnership with Unit/ Line Managers.
Reconcile losses reported in Phoenix with GL on monthly basis.
Process Risk Analysis (PRA)
Initiate PRAs where needed to support specific needs to check if the process and control environment iseffective.
Participate in PRA at the request of the process owner.
Support Business / Function Operations Head in PRA review of operational capability as part of PPG /CA review/roll-out.
Risk Committee Meetings
BORC - Review BORC Packs, with focus on risk %26amp; controls MI %26amp; supporting documents and escalate toFunction Head on any concerns for further actions.
Attend / Represent at GTO FORC, if they are invited.
Risk Reviews
Perform spot checks and mystery shopping exercises and raise any exception through the risk reportingprocess.
Perform thematic risk / control reviews.
Validates adequate closure of audit findings.
Oversight over performance of pre-audit/ review preparation work by Unit/ Line.
Risk %26amp; Control Initiatives
Support implementation of risk and control initiatives;
Our Ideal Candidate
- Full understanding on Bank's RMF, ORMF and skills in managing operational risk;
- Experience in operational risk management or engineering processes;
- Ability to work in a matrix organization, leveraging resources across the organization to completedeliverables;
- Sound judgment and courage to perform a risk and control role and maintain effective workingrelationship in the first line of defense;
- Possess in-depth knowledge and problem solving skills to function well as a UORM;
- Fully competent in sample testing methodology, conducting quality check and assuring operational risk
- being properly managed in the first line.
