An exciting Head of Credit Research job has just become available at one of the largest pension fund houses based in Kuala Lumpur.

About the Head of Credit Research Role:
Reporting to the Head of Capital Market, you will play a key role in leading and managing a team of credit analysts who specialise in their respective sectors and ensuring credit quality is within the parameters of the organisation's risk appetite.

Key Responsibilities:

Experience building, leading, coaching and developing credit research team

Oversee credit research team on analysis/due diligence on investment proposals and review credit valuation and other working papers for the approval of Management Investment Committee (MIC), Investment Panel and Finance Minister whilst ensuring the investment policies, limits and guidelines are observed

Maintain, and monitor financial model for all approved credit names within the universe list which comprises domestic and global bonds

Offer investment insights on a range of general bond market topics and individual issuers through written reports, comments, calls as well as assist in portfolio management

Ensure rigorous and thorough primary credit research and credit surveillance

Stay abreast of the credit markets, market technical or changes in regulatory/government policy that impact credit risk exposure of the department

Provide general financial analysis and quantitative analysis including projects or issues beyond the primary investments space

Establish and maintain rapport with outside analysts, bond dealers, issuers and other personnel to assure an adequate supply of timely investment information and opportunities

To succeed in this role, you must have at least 10 years of relevant credit research experience across all industries with domestic and global space

Key Requirements:

Malaysian citizen, passed Malay subject at SPM level

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics and/or business or related qualifications

Sound industry knowledge, recognised leadership, together with effective decision-making skills and sound judgement

Good command in both English and Malay

Excellent stakeholder management skills
