Client Details

The client is a well established Building and Construction business that has been growing steadily over the last few years. They offer a niche product and service and hence are continuing to be successful and grow their client base despite the current circumstances. With parking on-site in Ely, this will be working in a close knit team, they value personality and character of an individual as much as experience and qualifications. In an easily commutable location in Ely, this role is ideal for anyone in Cambridge, Downham Market and the surrounding area.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Finance Ledger Assistant - Temp to Perm are:

Purchase Ledger

  • Entering and filing of Supplier invoices in a timely manner
  • Maintaining Invoice Master log which details the cycle from receipt of invoice through approval process and finally to payment of invoice
  • Managing the Invoice approval process internally
  • Reconciling supplier statements to the accounting system
  • Assisting with sending key suppliers remittances as required

Sales Ledger

  • Entering and filing of Sales invoices
  • Maintain and reconcile sales ledger accounts
  • Send out customer statements to key customers as required

Other Duties:

  • Support the team in all day to day financial accounting processes
  • Support the month-end processes, including all reconciliations
  • Assisting with Ad-hoc requirements as per manager discretion

Profile

The successful candidate for the role of Finance Ledger Assistant - Temp to Perm will have:

  • Be Immediately available and ready to start or relatively short notice period (1 Week)
  • Previous experience of transactional finance in a similar role working across both sides of the ledger
  • Part Qualified ACCA/CIMA or AAT qualified
  • Previous Experience of Month End would be desirable
  • Good system knowledge (ideally Microsoft products such as AX Dynamics, Navision or Business Central)
  • Have used Excel to a Pivot Tables and V-lookups standard
  • Good communication skills are essential
  • Great interpersonal skills with ability to interact with managers and operational staff
