Financial Controller for a 12 month fixed term contract based in Birmingham City Centre

This is an excellent opportunity to join a large and complex business in the position of Financial Controller for a fixed term of 12 months (possibly longer). This position is a key leadership role in a shared services operation and the focus will be on revenue accounting.

Your new role
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure that there are robust controls in place across the end to end revenue process in order to assure key stakeholders that all sales and work orders are identified, recorded and reported within the financial systems. In addition to this the role holder will be responsible for ensuring that revenue recognition is accurate in accordance with IFRS15. The role will also play a role in ensuring that processes are improved across the SSC as a whole.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a fully qualified accountant with a good understanding of IFRS15 revenue recognition. Experience of operating in a shared services environment or a large and complex business would be advantageous.
