Hays Senior Finance are delighted to be exclusively partnered with a well-know Construction business in Glasgow. Through consistent growth, our client are looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a permanent basis with well-rounded commercial finance experience. This role will report to the financial Controller as part of a small team. This is a fantastic role offering exposure to management accounting, reporting and financial oversight of a successful business.

Your new role
The Management Accountant will be responsible for the provision of monthly management accounts and monthly reporting across the companies portfolio. You will oversee the bookkeeping function, monitor costs, produce cash-flow reports, VAT and adhoc projects to improve processes. You will have oversight of the transactions team, reporting key MI to the Financial Controller and senior management.

As part of this role, our client are looking to bring a small payroll function in-house so knowledge of payroll is highly desirable. Additionally you will work with project managers and produce construction reports and will gain access to a variety of stakeholders in the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be be a newly qualified accountant with strong commercial experience with an ambitious and focused nature. Our client are looking for a flexible and adaptable team player that can work as part of a small and specialised finance business. This role will also support projects on improving processes across systems and management information so experience of working in a change environment would be advantageous.

The salary for this role is between £35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience with 28 days holiday, excellent employer pension and flexible working options available.
