Excellent opportunity for an Accountant to join a well-established company based in Cheshire!
The company is an accountancy practice established for over 20 years and operating in a niche market. Due to continued growth, they are in a position to recruit a full time accountant.
The company is a typical accountancy practice in their mix of bookkeeping, VAT returns, accounts, tax returns and payroll. They also undertake a number of outsourced bookkeeping assignments.
They are looking for a full time qualified accountant (ACCA or ICAEW) or QBE with experience from public practice, to take up a senior role in a small friendly practice of 10 staff.
Reporting to the Practice Manager, the main responsibility of this role is to ensure the timely completion of year end accounts for SME's and sole-traders, as well as personal & company tax returns.
The successful Accountant will work with management and a friendly team of bookkeepers. They are a forward thinking, dynamic and growing practice and welcome applicants that share their values and drive. This opening within their practice represents an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to develop this role as their knowledge and experience develops.
The role requires someone with an eye for detail and accuracy with figures. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner and be able to prioritise their own workload and ultimately work unsupervised. The Accountant will be able to schedule their workload to meet the usual accounting deadlines. The Accountant is expected to have experience of personal tax returns, and hopefully experience with self employed accounts. The nature of the work requires the candidate to be able to adhere to, and update defined procedures and deliver a consistent standard of work.
The company is currently working with a mix of home and office based work. Our systems and software are cloud-based.
As part of their valued team, you can look forward to working within a people orientated and supportive practice that is committed to your professional development.
