The Company
A FTC Appointment for 18 months starting February 2021. An exciting time to join this acquisitive organisation as they grow and make changes/improvements to systems. This role provide strong financial support to business for allocated service delivery units, including the provision of monthly management accounts, budget support and financial analysis in a timely, accurate and consistent manner.
The Role
Key Areas of Responsibility:
Production of monthly management accounts
• To produce and distribute accurate, timely monthly management accounts to budget holders, ensuring that appropriate finance support is provided to budget holders and operational staff.
• To produce other financial information as required by the Senior Finance Business Partner or budget holders.
• Ensure that all relevant control accounts are regularly reconciled and reconciling items cleared on a timely basis.
• To review on a a monthly basis the management accounts and discuss any variances with the budget holders.
• To support the production of the annual audit file for external auditors and deal with queries raised by the external auditors.
Budgeting and Project Planning:
• To support high quality budgetary control across the business by producing robust annual budgets and reforecasts.
• To ensure that there is appropriate first line support and training to budget holders in the production of the annual budgets and reforecasts
• Ensure that budget holders are provided with appropriate financial analysis and guidance to undertake the annual budgeting exercise.
• Prepare an overall analysis of the proposed budget for review by the Assistant Director of Finance and Director of Finance.
• To provide financial support to the operational management team regarding budgets for funding
Experience/Training & Qualifications Required
- Significant experience of providing management accounts
- Experience of budgeting & project planning
- Candidates should have an inquiring and analytical mind set & excellent numeracy skills
- Ability to work autonomously and be proactive with workload
- Stakeholder engagement experience and strong communication skills, both oral & wrtiten
