Your new company

Your new company is a FTSE listed Recruitment business with operations across the globe, and in a variety of specialisms. Like the rest of the industry, they have faced challenges this year; but the IA team have remained strong and continued to add value throughout which has been a huge part of the business' success in recent months.

You will be joining this team as an Internal Audit Manager, reporting to the Head of Internal Audit, working with a team of 2 other Internal Audit Managers as well as a secondee, who changes through the year.


Your new role

In your new role as Internal Audit Manager; you will work on a variety of different audits across both financial and operational areas. You will be expected to come into this role, with some experience working in Internal Audit, and as such will be trusted with responsibility for assisting with Audit Scoping and Planning from the outset.

The business is global with strong business operations in Europe, Asia, America and Australia - and you will be working with the team based out of the London Head Office on all of these audits. The team is a lean one and you will expected to get involved at all stages of the audit; from fieldwork to report writing, including key sections for the report to go to the Audit Committee.


What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA etc.)
• Experience working in Industry ideal, though strong Internal Audit experience from a reputable firm will be considered
• Ability and willingness to travel internationally for the role, when allowed (circa 30% expected)
• Desire to move into a finance role in the future would be a huge bonus
• Additional European or Asian language skill would be a huge bonus

What you'll get in return

The business are looking at working best practices, and whilst nothing is set in stone, they are considering different forms of flexible working on a case by case basis within the IA team. There is also a very strong track record of people within the IA team moving into the business. Of the last 8 hires, 6 have gone into roles within the business, including financial controls and commercial finance positions. You will have a lot of exposure to senior members of this FTSE business which will allow you to increase your network, including with the CFO who is a huge advocate for Internal Audit and uses this as his own talent pool when looking at future leaders.
