Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently seeking a Bookkeeper to join a rapidly growing Construction firm in East Tampa. If you are an experienced Bookkeeper, enjoyworking in fast-paced cultures and looking for an opportunity that provides growth -- this could be the role for you! The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of Bookkeeping experience and be comfortable with the following:

Responsibilities
  • Daily Accounts Payable & Receivable functions
  • Recording bank transfers, wires, and ACH and credit card payments
  • Prepares appropriate schedules and reports as requested by clients
  • Performs data entry, captures and balances work received from clients on a scheduled basis
  • Generates 1099s and W-2s for clients
  • Receives approves, and, when necessary, investigates client's accounts payable invoices
  • Communicates (both in verbal and written form) with clients, client suppliers, vendors, and banking contacts
  • Calculating taxes, prepare payments to creditors, and analyzing financial statements
  • Prepare accounts receivables for client to deposit into client bank accounts
  • Preparing and processing payroll
  • Assisting with preparation for audits
Requirements
  • At least 3 years of bookkeeping experience (Construction experience highly preferred)
  • Knowledgeable of GAAP and general accounting practices
