Our Finance Team operates as part of our Corporate Services Team providing a comprehensive and accurate finance service provision across our Trust.

About the role

Finance Officer
We are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to become part of a busy Finance Team. Our Finance Officer will have experience in end to end payroll along with providing a general finance support to the business; processing orders and invoices, reconciling accounts and undertaking credit control.

Working with the wider Groundwork Team you will support timely and accurate grant funding claim submissions liaising with accountable bodies to resolve queries and ensure deadlines are met.

You will produce accurate financial reports to support financial modelling and management analysis of major project contracts.

Finance Assistant
We are seeking a motivated individual who will work as a member of the Finance & Corporate Services Team to assist in providing financial services support. You will provide a valuable resource to support Groundwork North East & Cumbria to enable it to achieve its objectives. Dealing with a variety of general financial tasks under direction in a diverse and busy office environment, ensuring business deadlines are met whilst maintaining quality.

These roles are both subject to a Basic Disclosure endorsed by the Disclosure and Barring Service

A bit about you
We are looking for an experienced Finance personnel with great communication skills who works with a high level of attention to detail. You'll thrive working in a busy and friendly environment and have excellent organisation skills, taking a pride in working accurately to achieve output targets and deadlines.

As the Finance Officer, strong IT skills are essential and you'll be familiar working with spreadsheets, databases and financial systems (SAGE) to interrogate data and produce accurate reports. You will be in possession of, or working towards, an AAT Intermediate qualification or equivalent.

As the Finance Assistant, strong IT skills are essential and you'll have experience of managing a varied workload of finance tasks whilst prioritising to meet target deadlines. You will be in possession of an RSA II Level word processing or equivalent, and have a commitment to working towards AAT
