Senior Accountant, 100 % remote
For our client - an Irish owned business based in Dublin - we are looking for an experienced Accountant.
The position will provide excellent experience and grant the successful candidate a high level of autonomy and trust.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a number of key duties across the business, including:

The position will provide excellent experience and grant the successful candidate a high level of autonomy and trust.
The successful candidate will take ownership of a number of key duties across the business, including:
- Day to day account functions like data entry, bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, debtors Statements,journal entries
- Maintain accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, job costing
- Preparation and submission of VAT returns
- Filing and submission of RCT
- Balance Sheet reconciliation skills essential
- Dealing with Revenue queries
- Administering company payrolls
- Preparation of Budgets
- Cash Flow Reporting
- Liaising with clients / facing meetings on Zoom
- Controlling the income and expenditure of clients and/or your company
- The creation and presentation of reports, business plans, budgets
- Preparing accounts for client's accountants
Requirements:
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Experience working in Irish Accountancy practice
- Experience managing direct reports.
- Full understanding of all aspects of VAT, PAYE and RCT compliance
- Xero certified and minimum 3 years' experience using same
- Strong knowledge of other accountancy packages i.e. Sage, QuickBooks
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills
