Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working on an exclusive basis for a stable and fast-growing manufacturing business in Rotherham as they look to recruit a fully qualified Financial Controller.
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be the principal lead in terms of producing the monthly management accounting pack as well as providing analysis and insight into the accounts. You will be responsible for managing a team of 3 and will provide sustained improvements across their financial control environment.
The role is fundamental to managing the accurate reporting of both internal and external financial reporting, enabling the business to make decisions based on robust financial information during a period of change and growth.
Duties & Responsibilities will include:
*Day to day management, appraisal and mentorship of a small accounting team
*Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts (Including P&L and Balance Sheet) along with related analysis and commentary
*Budgeting and Forecasting
*Ensuring the integrity of financial controls
*Cashflow forecasting
*Liaison with external auditors
*Management of capital expenditure and fixed asset register
*Ensuring robust controls over both sides of the ledger
*Continual adherence to adherence to regulatory reporting
*Supporting the Finance Director with any ad-hoc projects
To be considered for this role you MUST have the following:
*Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
*Sage experience is highly desirable
*Proven ambition and drive to help the business improve and initiate positive change
*Good financial reporting skills
*Process and control improvement experience
*Keen eye for detail
*Staff management and leadership skills
*Strong Communicator
*Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
