Assistant Accountant

Your new company
One of the UK's leading student accommodation providers are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their rapidly growing organisation. The role will be working from home for the foreseeable future, however usually the company are based in spectacular offices in the West End of London, near to Oxford Circus station.

Your new role
Reporting into the Management and Financial Accountants, this role will be key in ensuring the smooth and efficient finance operations of the company. Your day to day duties will include:

• Posting month end journals
• Assisting with year end close
• Processing sales and purchase invoices
• Maintaining fixed asset register
• Bank reconciliations
• Ad hoc analysis
• Submitting VAT returns
• Assisting with audit

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will be either an ACCA/CIMA part qualified or AAT qualified finance professional with a minimum of 3 years experience. You will have a thorough working knowledge of all the above tasks and must be able to manage your own time and workload. You will be an ambitious individual who wants to take on a new challenge in a fast paced and growing environment. Any previous experience using Sage will be a bonus.
