Further responsibilities include...
- Reviewing and reporting upon portfolio level risk controls, credit quality trends, concern/watchlists and KRI.
- Review and challenge policies and processes for credit risk including underwriting, collections and account management.
- Reviewing, reporting and ensuring compliance with approved credit policies, processes, procedures and guidelines.
- Undertake thematic reviews across the portfolios where a specific aspect of credit risk or an emerging risk/trend is examined.
- Define and recommend an annual plan of assurance activity to cover credit risk across the business.
- Challenge and recommend improvements to the credit risk appetite framework.
- Flexible working with the role based at home with occasional trips to Head Office in Cardiff.
- Demonstrable knowledge of FCA and PRA regulation and principles for credit risk coupled with internal controls mindset within financial services/banking.
- The ideal candidate will have experience of retail mortgage, buy-to-let and commercial finance portfolios.
- The ability to present high-quality material to Executive and Board level committees.
- The ability to build effective mutually beneficial relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- The knowledge and confidence to challenge objectively and effect change principles where appropriate.
- Proven ability to negotiate and influence.
- Self-motivated with ability to deliver on business critical projects.
- Flexible working with the role based at home with occasional trips to Head Office in Cardiff.
Salary:
£50k - £65k plus bonus plus benefits
