Can you bring this to Blackwood...?

  • Excellent financial management & technical skills?
  • Passion to help maximise our resources and support our customers to live independently?
  • Ability to translate complex financial information to colleagues in a supportive way?
  • Engagement and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams?

If you are saying yes, then you might be the candidate we are looking for!

Blackwood are looking for a part-qualified accountant on a 12-month fixed term basis with both the technical skills and ability to translate financial information to non-financial colleagues. Reporting to the Finance Manager and supporting our Housing & Assets business functions, this job role will be a critical support to Blackwood's ambitious development and innovation programme.

You're expected to be a self-starter with experience in both budgeting and presenting financial information in a user-friendly format. A keen eye for detail is important in ensuring our financial forecasts are accurate and drive colleagues to make the best decisions available to them.

Continually striving to improve methods and processes, you'll be part of the finance journey through Blackwood's Digital Plan. Your input will give you experience and understanding of system changes as well as the necessary behavioural shift.

We ask that all applicants read the Job Pack available on the careers page of our website. Blackwood are committed to diversity and inclusion and as an accredited Disability Confident Employer, we will interview all disabled candidates who meet the minimum requirements for the post.

Interviews are likely to take place online due to current social distancing guidelines; arrangements will be confirmed with shortlisted candidates.

Closing date for applications - Tuesday 19th January 2021, 12noon.

Interviews are expected to take place on Monday 25th January 2021.
