Robert Half Finance & Accounting is working exclusively with a Leicestershire based manufacturing business in their search for a new Financial Controller. This is a brand new role to the business and has come about due to substantial growth over the past 18 months. The role is based at the firms head office which is commutable distance from all areas of Leicester / Leicestershire, Nottingham, Derby, Northampton and the Coventry & Warwickshire areas.

Reporting to the Managing Director of this privately owned business the Financial Controller will take full ownership of the business accounting activity's both on a monthly and annual basis. The role has an established team of 4 and you be leading and developing the team. Responsibilities will include leading and developing the firms monthly management accounts and developing insightful information to help the business grow, all statutory accounting and year end, VAT, cashflow forecating, analysis and being the face of finance across the wider business working with the operations teams to develop a wider financial understanding and appreciation across the company.

The business is keen to hire a candidate who has a keen eye for process improvement and is comfortable working in a fast paced manufacturing operation. You will naturally be a great communicator and have a desire to get involved and understand the business - its essential you have previous experience of working in a manufacturing business and an understanding of costing and NPD. The business is well funded and profitable - due to the growth that the business has seen this appointment is a natural step for the business to be ready for the next stage of its growth - the role is new to the business.

To be considered for this role it is essential that you have previous experience of working for a manufacturing business and looking for a hands on role that will be highly visible - the role has the opportunity to add substantial value to the company focusing on process improvements and analysis / business partnering. You will need to be qualified in either the ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualification.

The role has a salary range of between £45,000 and £52,500 plus benefits

The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
