OpportunityOur client, a large international product-based business, is seeking to appoint a talented Group Reporting Analyst with a background in financial accounting, ideally gained within practice. With a Kent based head office and a presence across the UK and Europe, this role will report into the Group Reporting Manager and support them and the wider Group finance function in ensuring accurate consolidated financial information is reported for Europe. Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Group Reporting Manager with the review of monthly P&L and balance sheet and liaise with the business on any queries that may arise.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reporting requirements for the European reported data.
• Assist the Group Reporting Manager with preparing consolidations.
• Support the Group Finance Manager with any reporting project changes to improve the reporting process.
• Work with the Group team in any projects to realign data to make the reported figures more accurate.
• Assist the Junior Group Reporting Analyst to resolve any intercompany variances.
• Assist the Group Reporting Manager in the preparation of the UK statutory accounts, liaise with the business where necessary to gather the required disclosure information.
• Support subsidiaries with the completion of their reporting packs.
• Assist the Group Reporting Manager in evaluating the impact of the new financial reporting requirements and help design implementation plans across the European entities.
• Lead the European Group Centre of Excellence for lease accounting (both under IFRS and US GAAP), liaise with Corporate and the European Finance teams and provide technical support to the Junior Group Reporting Analyst in processing the entries.
• Provide technical accounting support with regards to preparation of UK statutory financial statements. Assist with Auditor queries on any technical accounting matters.
• Provide ad-hoc technical support to Finance teams across Europe under the supervision of the Group Reporting Manager.
• Provide assistance and support to the Junior Group Reporting Analyst where required.Candidate Profile
• Formally qualified (ACA, ACCA) financial accountant. This would be an excellent move for a candidate looking to make their first or second move from practice into industry.
• Good knowledge of IFRS is essential.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Very high level of accuracy & attention to detail required.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
