Are you a competent and confident Head of Payroll or Payroll Manager with strong communications skills and an eye for detail?
This is an exciting opportunity to head up a Payroll & Rewards functio (Reporting into the HR Management Team)
Your responsibilities
* Responsibility for the effective operation of payroll processes, reconciliations and assisting with the development and implementation of improvements
* Ensuring maintenance and development of the Payroll system to enable data integrity and accurate data collation
* Remaining compliant with legal, regulatory and taxation matters. Being responsible for completing all statutory returns and HMRC matters, including gender pay gap reporting and other publications
* Complying with internal or external audit requirements and meeting and/or exceeding inspection standards. Proactively raising any risks and/or issues
* Supporting with annual pay and reward cycles, including salary review, performance related pay/ bonus awards
* Continually reviewing and updating the reward offer, understanding what motivates and engages employees, as well as driving efficiencies where possible
* Working in collaboration with HR Business Partners and the Finance Team to ensure pay & reward processes and policies are aligned to core principles
* Managing pension and life assurance schemes (specifically). Interpreting pension legislation changes and ensuring we drive the best for our people
Your skills
* Previous experience working in a similar role, with people data and HR systems
* A proven record of delivering pay and benefit solutions in a fast-paced environment
* Experience of interpreting data into relevant and actionable insight, as well as an ability to translate data into meaningful, clear and simple information
* Strong analytical skills, and advanced Excel capability
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
* Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at all levels
* The ability to plan whilst responding to in the moment delivery, with excellent organisational skills
