Primarily responsible for the assistance in preparation of statutory accounts, tax compliance, year-end consolidation and monthly tasks outlined below, providing regular feedback to the VP of Financial Accounting.

Our client a Global Organisation that are highly recognised in their industry are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join the Reigate, Surrey office.

Description

As the Financial Accountant you will be responsible for

Statutory Accounts

• Assistance in reviewing year end files for any adjustments prior to closing year end
• Assistance with preparing and posting the year end cross charges and seat charges in line with transfer pricing agreements
• Reviewing the year end intercompany balances on our matrix
• Helping to prepare statutory accounts for multiple entities that form part of the Group under IFRS / Local GAAP
• Liaising with our Tax Advisors and Auditors during this process and arranging for the tax work to be completed prior to the audit commencing
• Assisting auditors at parent company reporting stage and full audit stage globally
• Preparation of internal locational consolidations where applicable
• Preparing supporting documents for the global audit process such as AA06 forms, Directors Remuneration Certificates, Directors Loan Certificates
• Running Pentana tailoring and then full checklist on each set of accounts to ensure compliance

Monthly Tasks General

• Month end reviews for individual entities incl. signing off Balance Sheet reconciliations & P&L's
• Checking monthly intercompany reconciliations schedule
• Preparing Foreign Exchange workings and journals on all intercompany loan accounts and trade receivables / payables
• Preparation and reporting of numbers into the Group Budget Pack & consolidated Balance Sheet
• Assistance within the team with internal reporting such as Global Office Costs, Cap ex, Liquidity etc

Ad-hoc tasks

• Assistance with looking after Corporation Tax (Final Tax Return submission, deadlines, payments & if refunds are required) - communicate to team
• Working with VP, Financial Accounting on any dividend requests
• Responsible for accuracy and submission of VAT returns
• Responsible for ensuring transfer pricing policies have global consistency
• French tax compliance including VAT, Corporation & Social Security
• R&D Claims (CIR)

Profile

• Experience as a Financial Accountant is essential
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA Part Qualified. Qualified by experience also considered
• Multi-Currency experience highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail
• Numerate and articulate

Job Offer

Salary £35,000 - £45,000
