Assistant Management Accountant

I am recruiting for an exciting opportunity to join a high quality and vibrant finance function, as part of the management accounting team of a large organisation . My client has a great reputation locally and are a well known household name. They are working with me exclusively to recruit an Assistant Management Accountant.

Your new job

The Assistant Management Accountant job will be integral to the management accounts team. They will assist with the calculation of profit and loss accounts as well as assisting with the reconciliation of the balance sheet controls and support the management accountant with all information requested in a timely and efficient manner.

Other duties for this position include:

• Reviewing of profit and loss accounts
• Calculating and posting accruals and prepayments
• Maintaining fixed asset registers
• Reconciliation of various balance sheet control accounts
• Preparing ad-hoc reports and analysis when required in a timely manner
• Variance analysis
• Supporting with the budget and forecast submissions
• Assist with the Audit process
• Ad-hoc duties as required

What you'll need to succeed

The ideal candidate will be studying towards an accounting qualification; CIMA or ACCA. They will be keen to qualify and also have previous experience of working to tight deadlines; ideally reporting in to a group and be comfortable working in a busy accounts team.
