Job Details

As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be an integral part of the payroll team and be responsible for delivering a high quality and effective service to the client, ensuring the payroll is completed accurately and timely. You'll support the manager in resolving queries, processing manual calculations and delivering a top class service to the business, looking at constant process improvement and building great relationships internally and externally.

Description

The Payroll Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Provide first line support for pay queries
  • Process payroll changes manually and through the live system (ADP)
  • Prepare monthly data entry spreadsheets (i.e. overtime, expenses)
  • Prepare monthly controls reconciliation
  • Support the analysis and reporting for key variable staff costs (i.e. overtime, expenses)
  • Provide system upgrade support, such as system testing and updating process manuals
  • Completion of regular payroll specific administrative duties (i.e. copy payslips, database updates, ONS information)
  • Provide administrative support to pension plan administrators (i.e. starters, leavers, update address database for pension scheme members)
  • Identify areas for continuous improvement within all aspects of payroll and pensions

Profile

The successful candidate will have a few years of experience in a payroll environment with experience of the end to end process, alongside some experience of process improvement and complex query resolution. You will be proficient in IT systems, ideally ADP but this is not essential if you have had experience with a large payroll system, and be organised with a great attention to detail. The payroll coordinator will be self motivated with the ability to work independently and solve problems but also able to form great working relationships at all levels with employees and stakeholders.
