About the Role:
This newly created, key finance leadership role will be responsible for owning Abcam's Entity Accounting and External Reporting following our recent secondary listing on NASDAQ. Overseeing an international team across UK, Asia and US, you will work closely peers leading Tax and Treasury, Control and Transaction processing and Investor Relations as part of a wider finance team at the forefront of the Groups' ambitious organic and non-organic growth strategy.
Roles &

responsibilities:


• Oversee the Group Consolidation team in preparation of Annual and Interim financial statements across both US and UK reporting frameworks

• Lead the UK, China, Hong Kong, Japanese and US accounting functions and delivering to the highest standards

• Ensuring compliance and integrity of all IFRS, UK/US GAAP, government accounting regulatory requirements for Abcam globally to include chairing the Abcam Technical Accounting Group and owning related policies

• Identifying areas of opportunity to simplify process, automate and use technology to allow the team to be more effective and efficient

• Be the primary point of contact for the external auditors facilitating a smooth and efficient process at all times
About you:

• The ideal candidate will be strong financial leader with a track record of technical excellence gained in a US publicly traded, complex, global products & services company or have gained similar experience through a global accounting firm. Life Sciences, Technology or Retail industry experience is preferred.

• The successful candidate will be diligent, inquisitive, show attention to detail, hardworking, and be a great communicator. The ability to see the big picture and manage an extensive and remote team through change and continuous improvement will also be vital.
