Your new company
A leading tech pharma business based in South Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join them on an 18 month Fixed-term contact and take the reins on pivotal area of the finance function. The role will report in the Group Controller and would ideally require applicants to be qualified, however they will also consider QBE's with the appropriate previous experience.

Your new role
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the operational running of the financial transaction function including Procure to Pay, Fixed Assets, Concur expense system and VAT, which also includes two direct reports. In addition, you will review the month end deliverables, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and accuracy of ledger postings. Furthermore, you will have ownership for the entity SOX compliance, as well as cashflow reporting, year end audit deliverables and supporting business-wide ERP System upgrades. Adhoc reporting and business partnering will also be crucial to your success in this role.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will need to be a strong well-rounded Accountant, with specific experience around ledger management and month end accountability. It would be advantageous to be ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified, however the business will also consider QBE, if they possess US GAAP or IFRS experience. In addition, you will have strong Excel and financial systems experience, with attention to detail and commercial acumen being key character traits. Finally, you will need to demonstrate effective communication, team player mentality and manage your workload to meet tight deadlines.
