Description

The Finalist Finance Manager has an extremely varied role with duties including:

• Managing, developing and training a small team
• Preparation of monthly PnL for the IT department, business partnering regularly with the relevant Directors
• Produce management information on KPIs to support the commercial management of the division, including spend vs budget
• Provide analysis of costs and spending trends, and helping to identify where cost efficiencies can be made.
• Partner with Directors to build annual net revenue schedules, and develop recharges to other companies in the group.
• Managing the preparation of the budget and quarterly forecasts; including bridging to budget and variance analysis compared to actuals.
• Manage the process for recharging costs to different businesses.
• Oversee period close process and provide understanding and insight into performance, including managing accruals and prepayments.
• Managing year end statutory pack for Fixed Assets and property departments for inclusion in Group and Statutory Accounts.
• Prepare external and internal audit packs, key contact for IT finance, fixed asset and property for both internal & external audit.
• Managing and reviewing the balance sheet reconciliation process, ensuring that the monthly reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• To ensure that there is continual improvements to the processes in place in order to streamline the group reporting and P&L review processes.
• To complete tasks as required by Directors

Profile

The successful Finalist Finance Manager will be:

• Final stages of Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Self-motivated
• Experience in a range of accounting functions
• Excellent communications with finance and non-finance teams
• Strong Excel skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent planning and organisation skills: able to work to tight deadlines
• Previous management experience would be ideal
• Previous business partnering experience would be ideal

Job Offer

The successful candidate can expect to earn between £45,000 and £50,000 dependent upon experience and qualification, plus a generous bonus scheme.
