We're hiring! Senior Finance Analyst Net Margin - 6 month FTC

Reporting to the Head of distribution analytics, this role will support the analysis and preparation of Global results for the GDS Agency Business, representing the management of $2.1bn in Revenues and ~$830m EBITDA.

This role is part of a team of 6 Analysts that will support the Senior Director of FP&A in all understanding, analysing and explaining current numbers and forecasts to enable in-depth understanding of performance, operations, market, customers, competitors and risk.

This position requires an individual who can collate and consolidate information, analyse results and effectively communicate them to key stakeholders.

Part of a larger team of 11 people all based in Langley that will be solely responsible for the global commercial FP&A and business support of Travelport revenue, margin and commercial opex



Responsibilities:


* This role is responsible for regional net margin analytics, you will be responsible for producing in depth analysis into the key drivers of net margin at both a customer, channel and sub regional level. This includes volume, Yield and Cost of revenue.

* Responsible for budget and forecast data collation and inputs as well as analysis and understanding this role will be a key part of our forecast cycle processes.

* Ensure monthend close numbers are understood and correct with any unresolved issues highlighted and escalated as appropriate. All diligence will need to be completed inline with monthend timetable and input and commentary created for close calls.

* Assist in the monthly preparation of reporting packs issued to Senior Management.

* Maintenance and Improvement of Business processes.

* Support Strategic Projects on an ad hoc basis

Requirements:

* Analytical with strong business acumen

* Proven track record in support role.

* Self starter with initiative and the ability to communicate ideas effectively

* Newly/qualified accountant (CIMA or ACCA)

* Practical and proven experiences in an accounting environment

* Good interpersonal skills, and an ability to tailor their approach to deal with different levels of management

* PC literacy requiring experience in Powerpoint & Excel. Cognos & Oracle - beneficial

* The position requires a team player demonstrating maximum flexibility

* Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment

* Must be consistent with a good standard of work, disciplined and deadline conscious

* Proven communication & relationship building skills

* Ability to work with all aspects of the finance team

* Knowledge of Travel Industry a benefit but not a prerequisite.
