A well-known media & entertainment giant is seeking an extremely engaging and accomplished part qualified assistant accountant/finance analyst to join its global HQ based in Central London.

  • Assist in the preparation of management accounts for Actuals, Forecasts, and Budgets with some responsibility for certain head office departments.
  • Prepare detailed reports to present monthly Actual vs Budget/Forecast to department heads.
  • Use systems and excel to analyse and validate Actuals, Budgets and Forecasts providing commentary to Senior department and finance stakeholders.
  • Supervise and review purchase orders as part of month end process, driving the business towards early capture of expenditure to allow commitment reporting.
  • Assist in the head office billing and recharging process building relations with other entities and preparing and raising invoices as required.
  • Act as a point of escalation on any issues relating to intercompany balances, invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
  • Assist in preparing adhoc business analysis and support for tendering processes.
  • Ensure efficiency of process and pro-actively identify opportunities for process improvement and commercial enhancement.

To be considered for this job role you MUST meet the following criteria:

  • 1:1/2:1 degree educated
  • Part-qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA
  • Self-starter who can equally thrive in an environment where they need to work independently, or take instruction from the Senior Corporate Accountant/Head of Corporate Accounting
  • Record of effective collaboration across teams and a positive attitude to change
  • Extremely outgoing, with an abundance of energy and enthusiasm
  • Impeccable communication skills
  • Experience using ERP systems, ideally SAP
  • Proficient Excel user - including pivot tables, lookups and sumifs
  • Experience of working in a finance team in a large corporate / multinational company
  • Experience of working with overseas entities and in multicurrency environments
