Payroll Manager
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager who will be responsible for managing multiple payroll cycles and delivering a high quality, accurate and timely payroll service.
Managing the team key responsibilities will include:
- Understanding of TUPE and a variety of contracts to manage payrolls in line with contractual obligations
- Owning any payments made outside of the standard monthly run
- Ensuring Payroll function complies with all HMRC legislation and that all forms and statements are provided to HMRC and employees within the deadlines
- Reconciling information relating to the P35 submission on a monthly basis
- Managing pension returns, to include AE, ABS, LGPS, and other Workplace and person pensions ensuring compliance and managing all associated administration
- Providing relevant information regarding monthly payments to HMRC, pension providers, Cash Plan and all other parties to Finance and overseeing the physical payments made
- Ensuring the reporting and payments made relating to all benefit schemes are accurate, timely and reconciled on a monthly basis
Desired Skills & Experience
- Strong working knowledge of leading a busy payroll team in a fast paced, high volume industry.
- Excellent knowledge of PAYE and HMRC practices and procedures
- Sound understanding of HR and TUPE activity in relation to pay.
- Excellent communication skills across all levels internal and external.
- Strong people management and organisational skills
- Experience of all Microsoft programmes
