Finance Manager required for one of our established construction companies based in Chester, reporting into the Financial Controller the role is to manage and support the existing team with day to day duties and responsibilities and also to coach and develop them.

Duties & Responsibilities;
* Preparation of the Management Accounts
* Maintain Balance Sheet through regular reviews and monthly reconciliations
* Assist in preparation of Statutory Accounts
* Production of VAT & Intrastat reporting
* Management of fixed asset reporting & Stock management
* Main contact point for external auditors ensuring audits run smoothly
* Overhead reporting across divisions
* General overview of accounting transactions
* Business partnering with other Non-finance and Finance Managers
* Completion of other regular ad hoc corporate requirements
* Ensure compliance with all corporate internal controls, adherence to internal audit recommendations and keeping financial reporting documentation
* Any other ad-hoc tasks as required in supporting the Financial Controller & Director including forecasts and budgets

Qualifications and experience;
* The Finance Manager will be either ACA, CIMA, ACCA Part Qualified /Qualified or equivalent
* Strong Excel and systems knowledge
* Experience of development of financial controls and systems implementation
* Statutory Accounts preparation experience
* Relevant experience in a senior finance or accounting related role
* Successful experience of managing people and teams
* Must have experience of CIS Tax scheme /Reconciliations
