Overview

This role provides pre-consultancy, planning, co-ordination and delivery across a wide range of client types, to service new and existing funds.

Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities

  • To provide pre-consultancy, planning, co-ordination, and delivery across a wide range of client types to service new and existing funds.
  • To plan and deliver the operational product launches across all asset classes in accordance with the existing operating models.
  • Planning - to consult, review, assess, plan, co-ordinate, document and control all operational activities through liaison with internal partners, Relationship Managers, Governance Committee, Investment Manager Supervision Team (IMST), Risk & Compliance, Legal, Operations (Leeds) and other Business Development functional areas.
  • Liaison - There will be a high level of co-ordination with external parties such as Custodians, transfer agencies and Fund Accounting partners like BNYM / NT to ensure that the custody, investor process and fund accounting requirements for Link funds are in place.
  • Monitoring - this will involve ensuring internal and external parties adhere to required deliverables and SLA's and tracking. Reporting all risks identified during the delivery of the fund launch or change taking place.
  • Delivery - to ensure the delivery is in agreed timescale, to agreed deadline and to a consistently high standard. Keeping all stakeholders informed of progress throughout the project and highlighting risk accordingly.
  • Build a control Framework to support Product Delivery for new fund launches and changes for existing funds. There will also be ACD - driven changes such as changes to portfolio structures, pooled fund restructures and other business initiatives as required.
  • Fund launches include UCITS, NURS and QIS funds, with a variety of custodians, transfer agents and pricing agents.
  • Maintain effective planning and delivery to support Product Delivery as defined in the Operating Models.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for all activity co-ordination and act as a primary point of contact for the Product Delivery Team for items allocated to the individual.
  • Effective planning, control, and mitigation of business risk regarding the relevant internal and external parties.
  • To support the Business Development, RM's and other members of the Product Delivery Team
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy, identifying errors and taking the necessary corrective action promptly according to priority and procedure. Take responsibility for setting high standards and focusing on delivery in a time conscious manner. This includes the appropriate and timely escalation of issues, and management of their resolution, in line with existing policies.
  • Prioritise effectively to take into account clients' requirements, monitoring and driving the planning and delivery of relevant areas to ensure the most efficient use of time and resources.
  • Work as a member of the Product Delivery team, to provide support for other team members when they are under pressure.
  • Make positive attempts to build rapport and establish good working relationships across all levels of Link Fund Solutions and external parties, conducting themselves in a manner appropriate to their audience and understanding their needs

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in legal, regulatory and operational co-ordination of fund launch, SOA, fundamental changes, transfers in or out and in specie transaction co-ordination
  • Extensive skills in using MS Office applications, e.g. MS Excel and Word, Visio
  • Demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Delivery focused with ability to work to tight deadlines
  • IOC preferred but not essential
  • Understanding of the investment management end to end process (e.g. back to front office)
