Robert Half are seeking a P/T Accounts Assistant for a unique opportunity in South Bristol. This role would be great for those seeking a interesting business and varied role that they can commit to for a short period of they're week.

Offering 4 hour shifts over a 3 day period this could be an additional income that fits around other commitments.

The Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers in their field.

Maintenance of the Sales Ledger and collection of debts for the business.

  • Emailing sales invoices to customers
  • Uploading sales invoices onto customer dedicated EDI systems.
  • Entering and allocating receipts from customers onto the company financial system.
  • Reconciling balance due on accounting system to statements received from customers.
  • Emailing payment reminders to customers
  • Liaising with company sales team to resolve customer sales queries etc.
  • Pursuing overdue unpaid invoices.
  • Objective is to work toward and maintain target DSO days.
Reporting actions taken and status of overdue unpaid invoices.Refresh all customer terms and conditions, ensuring observance, including:
  • Refreshed credit application forms
  • Following debt chasing letter procedure 1-2-3
  • Terms of sale, including ROT clauses, being forwarded to all customers
  • Credit checking of customers as applicable

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Assist in providing cover for other accounts staff when away from the office ie hours/holidays (May result in additional hours)
  • Answering the phone as overflow on third ring
  • Archiving
  • Filing

HOURS

The hours are three days, four hours per day.

Starting time and consequent finishing time to suit.

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

The candidate needs to have extensive transactional finance experience and be familiar with Microsoft Office.
