Main Purpose of Role

The Treasury Front Office provides an internally facing foreign exchange service for business areas around the group and works to maximise margin income revenue by investment of money. The Analyst will lead the accurate and timely management of corporate and client's cash balances, as well as assisting in the production, distribution and review of department reports.

The continual review of established procedures in order to identify and implement effective process improvement along with efficiency is crucial to the success of the department. This is a core area which the Analyst will need to deliver on, together with proactively supporting colleagues in the Front Office team in their daily tasks and activities to ensure a high level of education and awareness. Analysts play a major role in the prevention and detection of financial fraud and liability and for ensuring the accounts adhere to FCA regulations.


Key Responsibilities


• Updating and analysing cash balances on a daily basis


• Daily monitoring and accurate reporting of regulated funds movement


• Accurate reporting of all margin income generated by treasury


• Ensure accurate records of live deposits


• Ensure accurate SAYE accruals are booked


• Ensure weekly and monthly reports are compiled accurately and in a timely manner


• Provide backup for the Foreign Exchange desk


• Work closely with Middle Office to ensure that records held on our Treasury Management System match the bank statement and ledger, investigate any anomalies


• Evaluate and resolve problems independently and escalate where appropriate


• Acquire a strong understanding of the cash flows associated with the products Computershare offers and proactively document and impart this knowledge to all interested parties


• Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure collaboration


• Respond to queries from the business by creating solutions or formulating recommendations


• Comply with operational risk and regulatory Control policies and procedures, making sure all Regulatory reporting is accurate and provided in a timely manner.

Essential Skills, Experience and Competencies


• Minimum of two years of relevant industry experience


• Demonstrated ability to innovate and drive change


• Ability to prioritise and work well under deadline pressure


• Excellent written and interpersonal skills


• Analytical ability and aptitude for problem solving


• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills


• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word


• Proven ability to work in a team environment


Desirable Skills, Experience and Competencies


• A level Mathematics or equivalent


• Experience of successfully working within a role which is highly numeric or technical


• Knowledge of the products and services provided by Computershare


• Knowledge of money markets and foreign exchange markets
