NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Controller based at our Alfreton site within the Financial Services Team. Please note we are accepting applications for both Permanent and Fixed Term Contract (12 Months)

NHS Supply Chain are recruiting for an Accounts Payable Controller based at our Alfreton site within the Financial Services Team.

What does an Accounts Payable Controller do at NHS Supply Chain?

Within this role you will be expected to manage supplier debt in accordance with agreed terms, policies & procedures working collaboratively with both internal functions & suppliers to ensure any disputes are resolved in a timely fashion.

There will a requirement to provide accurate & timely information on the status of supplier accounts to inform business decisions, identify & escalate issues & manage supplier expectations.

You will be expected to maintain process & controls to ensure transactions are recorded accurately, timely & in accordance with agreed accounting standards.

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

  • Accounts Payable background
  • Experience of processing and handling large volumes of data
  • Reconciliation of accounts with high volume/low value transactions
  • Oracle R12 experience (Desirable)
  • Strong numeric and analytical skills with ideally Intermediate Level Excel skills
  • Strong communication, negotiating and influencing skills
