Joining an exciting and dynamic project-based business, the successful applicant will demonstrate a passion and drive for working with colleagues at all levels to ensure the success of this SME organisation. In this standalone accounting role, you will be involved in producing accurate financial and management accounts as well as completing the day to day accounting processes for the business.
Duties and
responsibilities:
Management of the transactional finance function
Production of monthly management accounts including profit & loss and balance sheet with supporting variance analysis
Preparation of budgets and monthly forecasting and reconciliation of company overheads
Multi-currency accounting
Producing cashflow forecasts
Coordinating the preparation of statutory accounts for external accountants and liaising with auditors where required
VAT returns
Proactively improving internal processes and ensuring strong financial control exists around the recording and reporting of all sales, costs, commitments and accruals and WIP
Completion of statutory returns
Collation of payroll for outsourced payroll company
Responsible for company HR working with external HR provider including onboard, company handbook, contracts
Skills and experience required:
CIMA, ACCA or ACA or QBE
At least 5 years' experience of working within a similar role for an SME organisation
Ability to successfully adapt to changing demands and conditions within an environment of change
Confident in challenging and influencing both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
Demonstrates an extensive knowledge of VAT
Takes a collaborative approach
Excellent interpersonal skills, working with positivity, charisma and a tireless drive for results
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday, 37.5 per week (full-time OR part-time 3-5 days per week)
Salary and benefits:
£30,000 - £38,000 FTE - 37.5 hours
25 days annual leave
