Its rare that an opportunity comes up to join a global manufacturing and production business, that is in its infancy and truly be part of its growth journey. But we have just that role and its based just outside Haywards Heath, with parking.

Client Details

Taking over from the current Finance Manager who has been promoted internally, despite only being with the organisation for 1 year, you will lead and manage the finance department.

With his support you will design a finance function that can support a projected 4 times growth in 2021. The organisation which is already operational in 3 other countries is looking at further expansion next year and this individual will be responsible for monitoring the financial health of the organisation and helping this manufacturing company grow.

They are looking for a strong individual who can hit the ground running, ideally with prior manufacturing or production exposure who can help guide the senior executives to make sound business decisions for both the short and long term.

Description

Although the responsibilities are not set in stone, the role of Finance Manager will be well rounded. You will be responsible for producing financial reports, business plans, financial modelling, and developing strategies based on financial research. But you will also oversee the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.

Due to expansion the finance team is rapidly growing both in the UK and internationally and this individual will manage those individuals and support their growth and development.

As the company grows you will seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company and support the leadership team with financial reports and financial data to make the decisions that are right for the business.

You will manage both the month end and year end process and be responsible for managing outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.

The organisation feels like a big family where everyone mucks in and supports each other. This individual will need to recognise that hours can be rather fluid. However when trust is established they are flexible on where the work is delivered.

Joining a start up like this in a manufacturing and production company will be a roller coaster, but if you are excited about the products they are developing this will be an exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager which could lead to something wonderful.

Profile

Qualified accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA)

Ideally someone who has qualified in practice and has a good grasp of the basics and a well rounded sector exposure.

Perhaps someone with 2-3 years post qualification experience as say a Management Accountant or Finance Manager but looking for more breadth and responsibility.

Ideal sector knowledge would be Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail or design. A sector with a tangible product, as opposed to service sector.

Ideally someone currently located within commuting distance of Haywards Heath.
