We are seeking an experienced and qualified Bookkeeper on either an employed or self-employed basis for approximately 4 hours per week to work with us in our office in Seaford, East Sussex. This is a new role and has been developed to provide additional support to the Managing Director and Payroll Team.

This is an exciting year for the business, celebrating 10 years of being established and seeking our 11th member of our team. Supporting two existing businesses this role will also assist in the growth that will occur from launching a new arm to the business in 2021. So exciting times, but we realise that we need additional expertise to assist the Managing Director in this growth.

Key personal skills and experience:

  • Qualified Bookkeeper - AAT, ICB or equivalent
  • Experience of working with Sage One
  • Assisting the Managing Director in with monthly management accounts and forecasts i.e. profit and loss, balance sheet, debtors etc.
  • Account and Bank reconciliations
  • Analysis and monitoring of key client accounts
  • Processing sales invoices, payments and receipts
  • Experience and knowledge of payroll and pension administration or management would be a distinct advantage
  • Excellent knowledge on the use of Excel and the ability to import and extract information from our accounting system and client log system
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment and to adapt quickly
  • Business acumen and the desire to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Pragmatic and friendly approach
  • A sense of humour!

We are based in Seaford, 20 minutes from Eastbourne and 30 minutes from Brighton.
