BOOKKEEPER - STOKE-ON-TRENT, STAFFORDSHIRE - JOB REF: JO24375

Accountancy Elite are currently recruiting for a long term client of ours in Stoke-on-Trent who are looking for an IT savvy bookkeeper ideally with some Xero software experience to join their thriving bookkeeping team. The successful candidate in this role will provide bookkeeping and VAT returns to a wide variety of clients. It would be an advantage for the candidate to have an understanding of accruals, prepayments, depreciation etc for making some management accounting style adjustments but this is not essential as training will be provided.

Key Roles and Responsibilities


• Bookkeeping for a variety of clients.

• VAT returns.

• Knowledge of accruals, prepayments, depreciation an advantage but not essential.

Candidate Attributes:


• Proficient using bookkeeping software such as Xero or Sage with a good interest in cloud bookkeeping software in general.

• Minimum of 2-3 years bookkeeping experience in either Industry or practice.

• Good knowledge of VAT.

• Experience interacting with a variety of clients and gaining information needed from those clients.

• Ideally AAT qualified but QBE candidates definitely considered.
