Finance

From the start, you will be adding real value to our business - experiencing the scale and breadth of an industry-leading Finance team. You will rotate through 2 placements over the 2-year programme, with diverse roles within the different areas of the Finance organisation: Business Partnering; Management Information & Analytics; Global Financial Shared Services; Group Finance (including Treasury, Tax, Accounting & Compliance). Being responsible for core Finance activities will provide you with a thorough grounding of accountancy fundamentals to support exam success. Additionally, throughout the Finance Apprenticeship Scheme you will support all areas of the business including: Manufacturing, Product Engineering, Commercial, Purchasing and Corporate Operations.

Most of your work and development will centre around business partnering or supporting business projects, when needed, providing financial analysis and insight as you work alongside operational teams. You could also be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and profit planning, to strategy and investment appraisals.

You’ll experience all core finance roles and activities, and your placements will be based on your individual career development needs. This is a developmental programme that will provide you with a broad range of experiences through on-the-job learning and mentoring by senior Finance leaders and past graduates. You’ll gain technical Finance knowledge (CIMA level) and gain structured behavioural development. 

Having completed the 2-year programme you’ll have everything you need, in a well-rounded skill set, to fulfil your career ambitions.

Longer-term we would expect that you progress into a leadership level role building on the broad base of knowledge and experiences provided by this scheme. 

What’s required

Excellence runs throughout our entire business and we expect you to be the same. You will have or expect to achieve a 2:2 degree or higher in one of the following: Economics, Business Studies, Finance, Maths, Biology, Chemistry or Physics. 

You’ll need to have an appetite for learning, ability to see the big picture, strong interpersonal skills and a passion for problem solving. Overall you’ll have strong business acumen, analytical skills and be an excellent communicator able to engage at all levels in the organisation.

You will Join us on a starting salary of £29,000, you’ll also receive a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to Jaguar Land Rover.
