About the role:
The Management Accountant team performs financial management support functions for their allocated Business Group working with Strategic Business Partners, Managers, Team Leaders, and the wider Finance team. The Assistant Accountant support role will perform financial management support functions for the Management Accounting team including reviewing open purchase orders, posting monthly accrual journals, departmental journals, capitalisation of WIP, reserve transfers, setup of new WBS, adhoc project reporting, assist with forecast. This role will help backfill the time required for the Management Accountants to complete LTP, LTP audit and TechOne user testing.
Skills and experience required:
To be successful in the role you should have.

* Proven experience in accounting
* A tertiary qualification majoring in accountancy or equivalent working experience
* Knowledge of accounting principles and standards. An appropriate level of management and financial accounting experience for financial statement preparation.
* Advanced spreadsheets, building and maintaining Excel workbooks.
* A sound knowledge of and experience using integrated financial packages (preferably SAP, Technology One)
* Highly developed problem solving and analytical skills.
* Highly developed written and oral communication skills and an ability to communicate with a wide variety of groups and individuals.
